As we wrap up the summer at our HQ, we wanted to recognize our outstanding interns – Claire Buchanan and Karina Latsko – for all the extraordinary work they have contributed over the past three months. Claire created Business Development ISO based Standard Operating Procedures, curated social media posts, researched industry associations, and compiled a list of operations commendations. Karina analyzed over 80,000 data points building models to enhance our ability to bid more accurately on contracts, created data analysis models to improve proposal estimating, and supported several bid efforts by analyzing workload data.

Last week, Karina was able to fly to our HQ in Atlanta to learn more about potential opportunities within the company going forward, as well as meet all the people she has been working with virtually. After her office visit, the Business Development team went on an outing to watch the Braves play the Mets at Truist Park – and it was a Braves win! We had such an exhilarating day getting to finally meet Karina in person. We wished Claire was able to join us, but she has been busy supporting sorority recruitment and gearing up for her last year at Georgia Tech!

Wreaths Across America

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.

2020 is the 6th annual year that Pegasus has contributed to the program. Pegasus donated 50 wreaths this year to the Georgia National Cemetery to help meet their goal of 16,100 wreaths.

Toys for Tots

In 1991, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation was created at the behest of the Marine Corps. Their basic mission is to collect new unwrapped toys and through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America's less fortunate children.

Pegasus Support Services is honored to participate for the 4th year. Last year, we were able to donate over 200 toys to those children in need. Our goal for 2022 is 300 toys!

Cherokee County Homeless Veterans

The Cherokee County Homeless Veteran program has been around for about 7 years and supports homeless veterans and those near homelessness in the Cherokee County area. The program is completed staffed by volunteers and is active throughout the year helping veterans and their families.

Pegasus Support Services found out about this local program and decided to help 20 families that the program sponsors by donating Kroger gift cards. Our corporate office also collected coats to donate to their annual winter coat drive where their goal was 1,000 coats.
